Business decisions are never easy! This jury had quite a difficult task because all the teams have inspiring ideas, all have advanced substantially during the programme and made great pitches.

HERMES Arriaga, HEAD OF IMPACT INCUBATOR

We participated in the Impact Incubator 2016 – the incubation programme for businesses and individuals “who want to change the world”, organized by the Impact Huba Zagreb. Within the incubator we undertook three months of training, lectures and support, developing the idea of “Ku-kuc”.

In the finals of Impact Incubator 2016, in competition with ten different teams, we presented our ideas to the jury that selected three winning teams. The winning projects are considered to have the best ideas, and are considered to be projects of social entrepreneurship in Croatia in 2016 – the jury also chose our project!

Jury members pointed out that the Centre Talk to me found a creative solution to the huge problem of the digital age in a simple, well-developed and well-designed product. An excellent product and passion of the team, which consists of Katarina Lončarić, Antonia Ćosić, Ana Mužak and Alen Halilović, were an important factor in the jury decision-making.

We are very pleased that this year's finalists have very creative ideas and that they aim at supporting the most vulnerable groups, especially in terms of education and development of children.

PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAMME CROWDFUNDING ACADEMY

In June 2016 we were admitted to the Crowdfunding Academy in Zagreb. Inspired by the desire that crowdfunding finally comes to life in Croatia and broader as a possibility of financing innovative projects, social enterprise BRODOTO and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Croatia launched the project Crowdfunding Academy. After the training programme intended for Croatian projects in the spring of 2015, the first Zagreb Crowdfunding Convention held in autumn 2015, and Global crowdfunding Academy in Istanbul a few months later, in 2016, the programme Crowdfunding Academy prepared another education programme.

It was led by a team of experts from the social enterprise BRODOTO and Green Energy Cooperative: Kristina Lauš, Hajdana Rukavina, Marina Petrović, Marko Gregović and Robert Pašičko.

Once we were admitted to the training, we learned about the preparation and implementation of crowdfunding campaign – marketing strategy, social networks, creating a business plan. It was another big step in the development of our idea “Ku-kuc! The story is inside.” The training was successfully completed and now we are facing a very exciting period of designing, creating and launching our own crowdfunding campaign for “Ku-kuc&quot”. During the training period we met many interesting people and teams, and heard their ideas. We hope that we will grow together and improve the quality of life of all of us, day by day.
